The Modest Rebel Dictionary

THE MODEST REBEL DICTIONARY is a philosophical dictionary.  Its purpose is to inspire independent and rational thought, not to prescribe truth.  It attempts to introduce doubt into important topics as a means to encourage discourse in the pursuit of common sense.  It is imperative that an equilibrium is maintained in any system we value, and our capacity to think and communicate clearly is at the forefront of every successful endeavour.  This is best achieved through voluntary exchanges where we are free to be ourselves and speak plainly about our views so that we may reach a compromise.  We must be honest about the pantheon of human susceptibilities and predations, and assist one another in emboldening our capacity to make sense in a world defined by chaos.

We should viciously pursue truth with courage and kindness, but when we fail to do so, maybe we can at least laugh at the ridiculous characters we are.
